Join us in our mission to transform St. Joseph County, Indiana into a sustainable community using the Bridges Out of Poverty as a framework.

We want to support an individual’s move from generational poverty to self-sufficiency, enhancing the quality of life for everyone and creating a model for other communities.

Our goals:

• Learn about what is and is not working in our community’s effort to end poverty
• Advocate for community change, particularly in system barriers
• Develop a space where people can build relationships across lines of difference, particularly economic class difference
• Join GA grads in their efforts to move to self-sufficiency, solve daily problems, and build their social networks.

How to effectively partner with us?

• Attend a Monthly Networking Meeting
• Attend a Day One or Two training
• Participate in our Getting Ahead for the Middle Class pilot
• Sponsor Unnatural Causes at your organization or workplace
• Join a Committee (we need people for our fundraising & ending financial predators)
• Become a Financial mentor
• Join our Book Club
• Attend the Bridge Builder Meetings (April 29, Aug 19, Nov 4. Noon to 1:30PM)
• Participate in our fall Poverty Simulation
