Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin' By World is a 50 hour curriculum that provides under-resourced people to investigate and understand the conditions that drives poverty.
Getting Ahead students are able to receive effective tools to take steps towards self-sufficiency.
Greg admits that he was first uncertain about the Getting Ahead program,
"I joined [Getting Ahead] because my fiancé wanted me to and then after we started going it turned about to be a pretty good class. I was thankful I took the class more than anything..."
In all that Tiffany has accomplished and lived through, she gives credit to Bridges.
"I think Bridges helps build that gap of positive energy, so when you have the right mindset to want to do better...you will do better; you will succeed if you continue to have a goal in mind."
Diane recommends to take Getting Ahead...
" If you want to change your life, change your thinking, do something different, get back on track, have a wholesome life... Go see."

Bridge's Financial Management Class
This 20 hour course provides financial tools and competence that your customer needs to take their first steps out of poverty. Each participant walks away with access to a bank account and to explore microloan opportunities.
One common barrier that customers encounter is when dealing with financial jargon.
Finance As A Second Language
People can understand financial concepts when presented intuitively, in simple language... but in our current system, learning to 'speak finance' is like a second job.
"Most people in the finance business speak in code."
"Sometimes when I'm talking to folks about [finance] I have no idea what they are talking about and most of the time I don't get embarrassed, but when I have to ask it a second or maybe a third time it starts to weigh on me."
